Upgrade to PRO to unlock the watchlist. Each trading day, a stock is assigned a Central Pivot Range (CPR) and a Classical Pivot Range (R1 to S1). Together, these define how wide or narrow the stock's expected trading zone is likely to be.
When a range narrows to a level tighter than any seen in the stock's prior 21 trading days, it is classified as a squeeze. This condition reflects an unusually tight balance between buying and selling pressure, often likened to a spring being compressed.
Compressed ranges are typically temporary. As balance shifts, the range tends to widen, and price often follows with a sharp, decisive move. Direction is not implied by the squeeze itself; the move may go either way. For this reason, many traders track squeeze conditions closely, since contraction phases are frequently followed by expansion phases.
The CPR group includes stocks whose Central Pivot Range is at the 0th percentile, the tightest reading in the past 21 sessions.
The Pivot group includes stocks whose Classical Pivot Range is at the 0th percentile.
Stocks appearing in both groups are experiencing a squeeze across both measures simultaneously, making them the names traders most commonly watch for a potential expansion move, for 02 Sep.
This watchlist is not a buy or sell recommendation. A tight range signals that a move may be coming, not which direction it will take. Traders should rely on their own analysis, risk management, and trading plan before acting.
